I see that there is July 2003 mold making entries... which suggests that the actual pattern work started some time before that.

Is it possible that it has already been five years since Aries was begun?

Could you share with us your feelings about the five year anniversary of the project?

Did you think it was going to be this hard? Are there things you would have done another way?

This is the first attempt at doing the pilot figures. This was designed in 3D by Drew Huffman. This version is about 10-15% too small, so it will be regrown. I have to agree with those who are steamed about not getting the kit out this year. But, I have to say it is not for lack of trying. A template is made following the lines of the cross-section of the ceiling. This template is then attached to a tube that will fit over a pivot. For this to work properly, the centerline of the drawing, the tube and the template all have to match up-- that is, the center of the passenger cabin and the center of the tube align and the template is cut to include the tube.
