The kit was supposed to include some .020 sheet styrene stock to be used on the back of the cargo section. There are some flat panels on the back, just like
the corrugated panels on the front of the cargo section. I could not mold these panels in the part as there is a joint that needs to be filled right on the
outer edge of the panels, so they have to be put on after the cargo section is done. I'll be sending the missing materials and a printed sheet that
explains what to do to everyone...

I think the hardest parts to deal with in this kit are the solar panels. So, have a look at this:
There are 4 of these panels on the ship. This particular example was broken off the pilot model, but what we're here to have a look at are the two
brackets. The rod stock you see in this shot has been broken off and we aren't concerned about it right now.

The model is now finished. Once I get the masters back, I'll be able to get this into rubber very quickly. Actually, I have about half the parts already in rubber, its the ones that have just been finished that still need to be molded. In the meantime-- here are some shots of the finished model--

<img...

I was asked by one of my clients if I could find someone to make a Botany Bay model that would be in scale with a 66-inch TOS Enterprise, such as Custom
Replicas makes. A somewhat long story follows and I won't go into the particulars, but the end result is why I'm posting that this kit will be going
into production very soon, despite the fact I never planned on doing this subect!
So, here are the latest photos. Only the tail booms and a few details remain to be completed....
