I think this is one of Scott's most impressive kits so I bought this as soon as it was announced. It looks easy to build but it's not. To get smooth
joins and flawless paintwork is a challenge. I used Tamiya grey then white undercoat, with sanding and polishing between coats to get a smooth white finish.
The next big challenge is of course masking the stripes. Scott has provided some templates but I'm still considering how to get the bottom stripes
parallel to the...

Download and print this paint mask to use as a guide for painting the red on the nose of the Moonliner. This is only a guide and will have to be adjusted to
your particular model. Because of casting and mold shrinkage over the life of a set of molds, no two models will have the exact same measurements. They are off
by only a miniscule proportion, but enough to make coming up with a template that fits all castings impossible.

The base for this kit is the final item that needed to be completed. The problem was to arrive at a form that we could cast that would not distort due to the amount of resin being used. The base is almost 3/4 of an inch thick and about 16 inches on a side.

So, casting it in sections was one option, instead of trying to cast it as one piece. This would reduce the amount of resin used in one pour, but I felt a better solution...

I will continue to add information until the entire process is documented.)

Back in early 1955, Walt Disney took a good look at what he was building in Anaheim and realized something was missing.
