        <![CDATA[ There are a few modifications I plan on making to this kit that I haven't seen anyone else do so far, so hopefully I can get some feedback before I do anything foolish.So far I haven't done a whole lot.  I've glued the two halves of the engineering hull together, and am busy smoothing out the central seam.  I've widened the fore part of the neck and narrowed the upper aft of the command deck. 			<description><![CDATA[ Yes. I guess apart from the &#39;running lights&#39; on the bottom of the nacelles being pitched completely wrong, every other mod you&#39;ve made could be
considered compensation for generation distortion.  And by the time Capt. C got his &#39;master&#39; the antenna spike had simple fallen out or had never made
it into his version at all.

I suppose anything is possible, but I have no reason to believe these details were added after the model was fabricated. I know the model has been repainted
several times, but I&#39;ve never heard any hints that it&#39;s been modified in appearance other than the color.

			<description><![CDATA[ I just came across Jim Keys kit the other day (no price given). He says his build is made from scans off the original. But when those scans were made would be
critical, considering the roller coaster ride the original went through over the last 40 years. And whether someone along the way would have added such details
is another question. Until Jim releases his master references (or someone asks him), we shall not know.

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve been on vacation off and on for the past month, so haven&#39;t been able to get hardly any work done on my D7, but I did manage to get one small
detail finished:  the sensor/deflector detail inside the hole in the front of the bulb.

I&#39;ve seen some photos showing this area of the original filming model, and recreated it the best I could.  I think it came out pretty close.  Here are a

<p>Since the hole is about 5/8&quot; in diameter, I decided to use a Dremel drum sander to enlarge the opening vertically, making it about 1/8&quot; or so
&#39;taller&#39; by carefully working the sander towards the bottom of the bulb.  When the bottom of the opening was low enough, I epoxied in a 21/32&quot;
