I took your frame grabs THX, and grabbed the most comprehensive three and composited them below.  In addition I guestimated the triangle edges and offer a
comparison to the starboard tri-panel.  There are a lot of layout similarities between them, yet some differences, some of which seem to be maybe only color
differences in the switches:

			<description><![CDATA[ I also think the reason that the buttons are canted at odd angles is due to ergonomics. If you turn your head to the side and back, you&#39;ll notice that your
head has to tilt as well in order to stay reasonably comfortable. This puts the buttons on the panel fairly horizontal to your plane of sight. ]]></description>

I never caught that.  Only thing that might be an issue is that the mocked-up interior for the pod is not the same as the pod interior set, at least on the
sides.  You can see the differences between pod set images, and any time you are looking into the pod from through the door, particularly the way the upper
&quot;brow&quot; panels are attached to the lower side panels.  It may not affect the triangular panels in the back but this is a great catch that... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ The reason I came up with the name in the first place was that I was doing a set of blueprints back in high school, purely for myself. There was the Dark Star,
the Orion, the Proteus, and then the ship from Planet of the Apes. Obviously to complete the set, I had to come up with a name for the title box in my
blueprint set. I figured since the ship was one that was destined to fail in its mission, that Icarus sounded appropriate. A friend that had a business called

The Wilco Icarus isn&#39;t bad. A few voids in the interior, from air bubbles. The two halves fit together pretty well. The interior is well-executed. Complete
with sleeping quarters. It&#39;s interesting... both 2001 and Planet of the Apes came out the same year, and both films had hibernaculum malfunctions. I&#39;m
going to have to put a mummified corpse in the Icarus hibernaculum, fully back-lit, for accuracy...

Nice work! Your research is of great interest to me. I&#39;ve been wrestling with the Pod interior dimensions with the objective of doing a full-size
reproduction. I was planning to do a 3D mockup in Lightwave, then iteratively refine the dimensions until they &quot;fit&quot; the photographic evidence. This
wouldn&#39;t take lens distortion into account, though. Your solution is much more elegant.
