Here are photos of the components of the kit:

This is most of the kit. There are 6 regular spine modules in total, aside from the antenna module itself, but I've only shown 2 of them here. These show how the mounting holes are predrilled and the faces have been sealed. Both of those steps would be a nightmare without the proper tooling! The surface detail plates are left off-- the builder has to put those on.

These are the 3 mounting blocks and the front and rear module unit connectors. Part of the reason for the delay in getting this kit out was these mounting blocks. I had to have aluminum masters machined, which cured a major problem that I've had to fix on each of the Discovery models I've shipped. You guys definitely do not want to have to go through all that!

These are the parts of the Pod. Very simple to assemble!

The holes for the arms are cast into the piece. The floodlights are another matter... Since I don't know what the builder would use for lights, I'm leaving the drilling of those holes to them.

This is the only remaining problem with the kit. Because of the way the parts were grown, the bottom of the Pod really sucks. I still need to fix it and that will take another couple of weeks.

I've just stuck these together (no glue) to show how things are arranged. This is a very simple kit!

These are the aluminum masters that were recently finished. The 3 square ones are for this kit. The ones I've been using were not machined and caused no end to headaches during assembly. Since the Antenna Module is now being done as a kit, I could not ask the builders to go through all the crap I had to, so I had these new ones made. This is something I tried to get done last year, but none of the machinists I know could take on the work. And where I live, if it isn't a tractor part or something that goes on a pick-up or stock-car, they won't make it!
