I don't want to make this very long as it is late and the past few weeks have been killers... But, the move is finally over and I need to address some
questions. First, the move-- which did take longer than I expected (so what else is new...)
This first shot shows the shop after the first week of packing stuff up. Its just a huge mess and you can't really tell anything has been removed!
This is the end of the third week. A LOT of stuff has been transported and demolition has begun.
Jim taking the ceiling panels apart. When we built the walls for the shop, we screwed everything together, making it relatively easy to dismantle. It was during this time we both discovered how old we'd become!
Dismantling complete and we're taking truckloads of stuff to my house and a storage room. We took literally over a ton of stuff to the dump!
This is a shot of the garage at my house, about 3 weeks into the move. From time to time, we'd have to spend a day or so just sorting through things and getting them stowed away, so we could bring more stuff over. I didn't have to build much here as we had things (like shelving units) that we moved intact.
None of these shots really convey the effort Jim and I had to put out to get this move accomplished. It really was a nightmare. My landlord was nice enough to not charge me for the weeks of June it took to get completely out. I didn't have a chance to shoot any photos of the completely empty space, but it really did look like we'd never been there. We didn't even leave any dust!
Okay-- the hard part is over and actually has been since Friday. We are working to get the shop functional now, which will only take a couple of days. It is my goal to start the last of the Aries molds a week from tomorrow, that is June 23 specifically. I am also going to get the Big Discovery CM mold finished during that time, which will be great news to anyone waiting on a Big D or a Big D CM kit. As these things are finished, it makes room to get all the other things finished as well. I have specific goals I need to meet so I can have some wonderful things to show at Wonderfest, in July. I will be posting updates frequently as these things are accomplished, so stay tuned!
