That looks really good. I'm glad to see another of these finished.
I also like the white windows you've got there. I've thought about doing something similar myself when the time comes, but I'm a bit nervous about it. Did you paint the white on before or after the decal was applied? --------------- |

nice shots! I like how you dealt with the impulse deck. I used a 'subtractive' method to get the fit and now have gaps that need filling. Is that
sculpyudner there? Stnadard clay?
The front grill being flush with the hull is beautiful and something I could not achieve. i may have to pull mine apart and do some tinkering. Congrats!
Best Regards,

I tried a couple of different ideas to do the windows on them. Initially I put white paint from a paint pen and then after that dried tried to use my pigma
pen and template to draw a circle around the white "lit" window. That didn't work out well because I couldn't keep a straight line of
windows.

I like that Bondo trick; very nicely done.
Also, thanks for the info on the window decals. I don't know if I'll be able to pull something similar off or not, but I hope so because it looks really great. --------------- |

I've been informed on my other forum (www.starshipfarragut.com) that I placed the upper deck windows upside down. I will be fixing that this weekend.

I got to tell you. I've seen quite a few builds of this kit and this is by far the best I've seen. I've already contacted Cmdr Tackett and
I'm sending him my D-7 to build. Nice job-museum quality all the way.

In case anyone is interested. This kit is now for sale. Just follow the link to http://www.collectivemodels.com/ for details. I think I'll be contacting Scott for another one.

Finally got around to finishing the top with the two red bumps.
Sorry about the dust.
