When I announced the 11-foot Discovery model was part of the 2001 Underwriter's Project, many people were disappointed that I could not make the model in kit form. Frankly, they'd still be disappointed if I did because they couldn't afford it! But, the idea sprang forth that because of the scale of this model, making a section of it would be possible, in kit form. So, at long last I am announcing the production of the Antenna Module kit!
One thing that this model has that the 11-foot model does not, is the dis-connected version of the spine connectors. To do this model, I could have just included the regular connectors, but they just didn't look good without being sandwiched between two module sections. So, I came up with one way they could look if the Antenna Module was simply hanging in space all by itself, just before being docked into place on the ship. This will also give modelers a chance to go their own way here, using the parts from the kit as the basis for their own versions.

The kit includes one EVA Pod. The stand is not included, but is easy enough to make, out of 1/8" brass rod.

I'm sure someone will come up with a better way to paint the 'disconnected' connector. I was in a hurry to get the photos done! The other half of the connector is provided, but I forgot to shoot it-- sorry!

The Pod comes as a front and back, 2 "earmuffs" and the arms. No lights are provided and to put them in, holes would have to be drilled out-- but it would look great with the lights!
