Hopefully this link will last a while. Vivian ran around the set of The Shining as a documentarian. While 2001 would have been the ideal, this gives some unique b-t-s footage and insight into the SK's art and techniques. Lots of Nicholson too! It also demonstrates that there is a literal ton of 2001 material/footage that is locked away in the vaults of MGM (now Sony or Warners (and other places) depending on who has the current rights).
