This is largely aimed at you , Scott. I assume you start an Aries or Discover CM master with a dome or sphere, right? Where do you get them or do you make your own?

In almost every case, I've had to get a hemisphere turned in hardwood to the desired diameter. It is possible to find common sizes, but when I need something in between, like 13.5 inches for the Underwriter's Pod, having a vacuform buck made is the only choice. Some people have hemispheres blown in acrylic, but those are not truely spherical.
