Has anyone thought of bring the model to a autobody shop to have them prime it?
I bring this up because that is what I plan on doing. The guy who runs a local shop up from where I work... we were talking and he tells me that lots of times he has extra primer in his AB from a priming job on a vehicle.
So instead of throwing it away, he can use it on my kit and charge me (his qoute to me) $10 - $15 bucks to spray it.
Now the advantage that I see is that it is sprayed in a control enviroment and he will use the heat lamps (on the lowest settings to prevent damage to the kit) to help dry the kit.
I had already had this done on a large resin kit and due to the thinest of the primer used... it came out very good... better than I could have done.
Something to think about.
