Posts: 1 (03/06/08 22:03:33) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : hal9000, faceplate Hi, I'm Mike Jackson, the guy who many moons ago created one of the first HAL screensavers, though Joe Mackenzie's HAL Project version I have to say has surpassed mine in functionality and workmanship. What I'm posting for is though I have long had "HAL" all over my monitors in my various offices through the years I've never quite gotten around to having a HAL faceplate. I was thinking about getting one of the ones offered for many years on CultTVMan's site but I see that it is sold out. Is there anyone out there that might be hording an extra one they want to sell?

This is about the only place on my website that a post like this belongs. There's nothing wrong with it, its just asking for something that isn't available in any of the other forums. If the guy had left his email address, I'd have been able to let him know. As it is, he's probably going to think I just removed it. Scott

Don't know if there's a reasonable way to duplicate all the glass lenses w/o actually adding all the glass lenses though... And would resin adequately replicate metal and fabric and so on? ... -t

Besides, this is the kind of thing that looks hokey done in resin. And the lens would be impossible to do convincingly-- without using an actual lens. Scott
