Download and print this paint mask to use as a guide for painting the red on the nose of the Moonliner. This is only a guide and will have to be adjusted to your particular model. Because of casting and mold shrinkage over the life of a set of molds, no two models will have the exact same measurements. They are off by only a miniscule proportion, but enough to make coming up with a template that fits all castings impossible.

The idea is to trace the template very lightly in pencil onto the rocket. You will have to adjust the template to get it to match up correctly on the back side, while keeping the orientation to the cockpit correct. Once you are satisfied with the fit of the template and have traced the outline, use the outline as a guide for the masking tape. The most difficult part of this is the masking around the cockpit, so work carefully!

This reference is self-explanatory. All of these stripes have to be done with masking tape. Fortunately, they are all 3/4" wide, as well as the spaces between them, so this job is actually very easy. The only difficult part is the bottom stripe on the legs as the tape has to go around some very interesting contours. I can't give you any suggestions to make that easier, but it can be done!
