CultTVMan just announced that Moebius Models is repopping the Aurora Moon Bus! I'll definitely be buying a case of that puppy for playing with (one stock, one in United Parcels markings, one in FedEx, a couple to bash together for accurizing...) I'll probably also ditch the wood crates, though for some reason they were in the film. A working rear door would be cool. Lighting will be a must. This is really, really great news. I'm personally not fixated on accuracy to the film, though. Given the time I spent building and handling the original Aurora model, as far as I'm concerned, it is the real moon bus.

I agree with that! Remember the passenger window conformal clear parts are wrong too. They are inset as well into the inner window frames. At least making accurate windows from clear sheet plastic will be relatively easy to do all around. I'm looking forward to this kit too. I have an old original de-constructed Aurora Moonbus kit but having new fresh parts to build it with will be a dream come true!

I once cut glass for each window pane for my Space Shuttle kit from years ago. A real "PANE" to cut...I probably broke 5 times more glass panes than I actually successfully made. But the quality is well worth the extra work. You can't believe the difference it makes. So thought I would post images of my Shuttle kit here, just for the heck of it, over in OMNI-BLAB.

Easy fix anyways.....I just used thin clear styrene for the front glass...its a bit tricky because there is a slight angle and if I remember they curve at the outer ends. I used thin microscope glass parts for my windows.....wouldn't have it any other way. That is light sheet used for the ceiling, the 4 AAA batteries and on/off switch are under the rear cabin floor and are accessed by a door from the bottom of the Bus. "Where'd she go?" Scott's fine and detailed work and 2. the reissued Aurora at (probably) a lower price point. (All points are of course supposition based on past experience). Now to wait another 1/2 year which is too bad as winter and modeling season is on it's way here in the cool white north.
